Step-type screen for septage and sludge receiving
The Sludge Receiving Station (SRS) is used to pre-treat sludge and septage from tanker trucks. It consists of a MEVA Rotoscreen RS and a Meva Screw Wash Press.

Septage is fed into the inlet tank. The system is enclosed to control odour. Gravel and grit settles out in the base of the tank. The step type screen removes screenings. The screenings are then washed and compacted and conveyed to a discharge point by a spiral conveyor.
