Automatic Flushing of Storm-Water Tanks

Vor Romag Tipping Buckets eliminate manual or mechanical cleaning of storm-water tanks and at the same time reduce operating problems and improve safety.  The VoR Tipping Bucket method of storm-water cleaning has been proven in practice over many years.   The basic concept of flushing solids combines simplicity with low energy.   They are adaptable for use with new and existing storm-water tanks.

Operation

Groundwater, treated effluent or potable water is pumped into the tipping buckets.

When filled, the tipping bucket automatically tips, causing the water to cascade down the contoured back wall of the storm-water tank.  This produces a standing wave which flushes the accumulated sediment to the point of disposal for transfer to treatment.

Automatic controls determine the frequency of operation and the tank can be sluiced with several flushing cycles to achieve complete tank cleaning.
